The Convocation: Such a Great Blessing

The Convocation: Such a Great Blessing

This past week I had the opportunity to experience my first convocation. The experience was such a blessing in many ways. One of the things I truly loved about the convocation was being able to see my fellow seminary brothers that I rarely get to see in a daily basis. The convocation made it possible […]

Discernment Process of My Vocation

God’s call began when my mom and one of my neighbors encouraged me to help the priest in the activities that he did for the building of the Parish. I accepted to participate in a group of Biblical formation. This was a week before Holy Week in 2005.

Cong Vo’s Vocation Story

Cong Vo’s Vocation Story

My name is Cong Vo. I was born and grew up Catholic in a rural society in a small part of the Mekong Delta which is the biggest delta in the southwestern of Vietnam. My childhood was full of great memories of being a farm boy: working in the white rice filed, going fishing, flying a kite… I love nature! One day I heard the call of God through my venerable pastor when he asked me “Cong, would you like to become a Catholic priest?” I did not give him the definite answer then. I just said: “Father, I will think about it!” Indeed, I was thinking, discerning, and praying about the question during my high school. After my high school and long time in praying, I decided to answer “yes” to the call of God to become a Catholic priest.  I would like to follow Jesus Christ […]
