Personal Reflection of Pastoral Year

It has been a good experience for me here at Blessed Sacrament doing my pastoral internship.  I am seeing how a priest interacts with the people he ministers too has allowed me to understand and develop my identity as a minister of the church.  The language and listening to their joys and struggles in their daily lives.  My pastoral internship has officially ended on May 11th, but I will remain in the parish as my summer assignment.  The academic portion is over, but I am still given time to continue working on my presence and identity at Blessed Sacrament.  Pastoral Year was an enjoyable experience, the people have been supportive and want to know more about seminary life and what we go through towards priesthood.  I am looking forward to the summer and a little disheartened when I return in the fall to leave the parish to continue my seminary studies.  But, I will treasure the experience of my Pastoral Internship at Blessed Sacrament.

St. Charles Borromeo, Pray for me.
