My experience here at Blessed Sacrament has been one of joy and continued discernment towards priesthood. I am learning more about my identity as priest and how do I fit within that role of “bring Christ to others.” I have finally settled into my pastoral year by understanding the routine and life of the parish. Living the life of a priest partially, I have been present to the people in different activities: meetings, meals and at liturgies, spending time and talking to them, preaching on how the Word helps us in our lives, letting them know that they are not alone on the journey of life. I have to remember that I am not alone on this journey, the Lord is walking with me also and I have to be aware of that. My work on Pastoral Year is to do His will and not mine. Being a faithful servant to help the people see God’s love for them. Though, half a semester is over of my internship, I still have much to learn about parish life and the people will help me to understand my identity as a future priest.
St. Charles Borromeo, pray for me.
