We are now in the midterm section of the spring semester. Exams and papers are the main focus here at St. Mary’s in Houston. We are also having Spring Break, but it is a short break. I hope I can relax during the break to charge the batteries again for the rest of the semester. Before I can relax, I have an exam for Synpotics before spring break, Christology exam after the break, and a presentation on a paper. Studies are a part of seminary life, but it is the path one must take toward priesthood.
Also this semester, we had the Prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, Archbishop Muller, come to the seminary for a symposium for the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. He provided an insight to the Ordinariate and why Pope Benedict XVI wrote ANGLICANORUM COETIBUS, which allowed Anglicans to come into full communion with Rome. Another event this semester is the retirement of Pope Benedict, and Cardinal DiNardo leaving to Rome to participate in conclave. He came to spend time with us before heading to Rome. This semester has been filled with exciting events, I am looking forward to how the rest of the semester will turn out.
St. Charles Borromeo, pray for me.
