Cong Vo’s experience in the Spanish choir at Assumption Seminary

At the beginning of this semester of Fall 2012, I decided to join the Spanish choir at Assumption Seminary as a guitar player. It is a great opportunity for me to immerse in Hispanic culture, starting with music! My brother seminarians in the choir and myself gather together once a week for practicing. They sing very well, and their Spanish is much better than mine! I wish I could sing in Spanish like they do. I seldom can join them in singing, but I join them with my guitar.  In harmony, my brothers sing with their great voice, and I play my guitar! I truly feel the presence of God among us when my brother seminarians sing at Mass. What a great spirit! They sing with their whole heart and with all their love to give glory to God. They have been given the gift of singing, and they indeed use that gift to give praise to God.  I am thankful to God for them.

I have been in the choir for three weeks. It is such a great time. Please join us in singing Bendito Bendito Bendito Sea Dios… May God bless you always!
